Solar water heating
From as early as 1979 we have applied environmentally powered solutions in place of otherwise non renewable power sources.
By locating a solar collector on the southern roof of a new pool house we were able to collect enough energy to significantly improve the heating of the pool. By installing a solar collector to the existing filtration pump no additional pumps or mechanical systems were required.
The main benefit of this enhancement to the pool was a substantial reduction in the associated running costs with little initial outlay. The subsequent benefit was the usage of the pool increasing for as long as the weather stayed fine, as the water could be heated even on less bright days.
